What Thai Yoga Massage is All About…

Thai Yoga Massage is a unique and powerful healing art that has been an integral part of Traditional Thai Medicine for thousands of years. Thai Massage blends elements of Acupressure, Yoga, Reflexology, Physiotherapy, Meditation, Energy Healing, Chiropractic and Ayurvedic wisdom.

The goal of any Thai Massage is to restore balance to the body, mind and spirit. By working through all 10 SEN lines (similar to Nadis in Yoga and Meridian lines in Chinese medicine) we are able to bring peace, clarity and rejuvenation to the client.

Thai Massage is referred to as “lazy man’s yoga” which makes it a complimentary service to offer for Yoga Teachers who want to develop more awareness of the physical and energetic bodies, more confidence and comfortability with touch and to be able to increase the services they can offer to their students giving them more ability to create a sustainable life as a yoga teacher, massage therapist and healer.

Thai Yoga Massage Theory

Thai Yoga Massage is a very holistic therapy where the human being is seen and treated as an ever-changing network of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects that all influence each other. Its primary aim is to restore and balance the body’s energy system which comprises of 10 energy lines that run through the body called Sen Lines, similar to Meridian Lines. These energy lines cannot be seen, but are felt and are a part of many Eastern healing traditions. The vital life force that is called Prana in Sanskrit, Chi in Chinese and Ki in Japanese, travels through these meridians, supplying the body with the energy that is necessary for its survival and healthy functioning.

Due to physical or emotional trauma, bad posture, injuries or limiting belief systems this energy can get trapped or blocked, causing physical and emotional dis-ease. Thai Yoga Massage with its amazing multitude of techniques and adjustments can release these blockages and bring the body back to its natural equilibrium where perfect balance and well being are present.

At the end of the this course you will have about 3 hours of Thai Massage content and tools for how to sequence with a therapeutic understanding of how to treat a client based on their individual needs.
